One Application. Every Scholarship a Student Qualifies For.

Education foundations manage dozens of local scholarships, each with its own criteria, donors and committee. This 30-minute session shows how to run all of them from one student application, so more eligible students apply and every fund reaches the students it was meant for.

In a 2026 Sallie survey of 625 U.S. college students about scholarship applications they had abandoned, 61% gave up before writing a single word.

Many education foundations ask students to do that dozens of times. A district foundation might manage 15 to 70 local scholarships: memorial funds, family awards, PTO and booster scholarships, awards from local businesses. Each has its own criteria and often its own form. Behind the scenes, staff or volunteers sort applications by hand, work out who qualifies for which fund, copy packets for each donor committee and track renewals in a spreadsheet.

This session is built around two of the five dimensions of Review Integrity, a framework for judging whether an application and review process is fair, consistent and defensible.

The first is Intake Proportionality: does what's asked of an applicant scale to what's at stake for them? For a student, being considered for every award they qualify for shouldn't mean entering the same information over and over.

The second is Reviewer Calibration: are reviewers trained, are conflicts enforced, and are their scores checked against each other? When each family or donor committee chooses the recipient of its own fund, every committee should be scoring against written criteria, the same way.

When those answers are no, the students with the most help apply for the most awards, and the students donors most wanted to reach miss scholarships they qualified for. Some funds draw two applicants. Volunteers burn out on sorting and copying. And when a donor asks who their scholarship reached and why, the answer has to be rebuilt by hand.

Local scholarship windows open on a set calendar each year, and the application students see is the one built before the window opens. The time to change how students apply, and how committees choose, is before the first student starts an application.

In This 30-minute Session, You'll Learn How To:

  • Give students one application that matches them to every scholarship they qualify for
  • Screen out scholarships a student isn't eligible for, so no one applies for an award they can't win
  • Let students save their work and come back, and request reference letters with automatic reminders
  • Route applications to each fund's committee, so every donor or family sees only their own applicants
  • Give every committee a weighted scorecard, with a printable option for reviewers who prefer paper
  • See which reviewers score much harder or easier than the rest before recipients are final
  • Collect acceptance forms, thank-you letters and proof of enrollment after the award
  • Keep each student's profile for renewable awards in the years that follow
  • Export a recipient list for the person who sends the checks

Common Questions

Does Reviewr send scholarship payments? No. Reviewr tracks acceptance, proof of enrollment and thank-you letters. It doesn't disburse funds or track fund balances. You can export a recipient report for whoever sends the checks.

Some of our donors aren't comfortable with technology. Can they still review? Yes. Each committee gets one link with the application and scorecard side by side, and there's a print-and-enter-scores option for reviewers who prefer paper.

Is Reviewr secure enough for student data?Reviewr is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports single sign-on. Your foundation owns its data and can export it.

We have dozens of funds. Is setup a big project?Reviewr's team builds your program with you from your current forms, typically over about 30 days. Many foundations start with the scholarships that share the most criteria and add the rest before applications open.
