Learn how to connect the youth outcomes data your club already collects to the funding decisions that depend on it.
Most Boys & Girls Clubs are already collecting real youth outcomes data — attendance and retention, Club Experience measures, academic success, character and citizenship, healthy lifestyles. That's the foundation of Formula for Impact and the National Youth Outcomes Initiative, and it means the measurement work most clubs assume they still need to build is already underway.
What's usually missing isn't the data. It's the bridge from that data to the moments that depend on it — a board meeting, a grant renewal, a major donor conversation, an annual budget cycle. The outcomes exist somewhere in your systems. They just aren't structured, connected, or fast enough to reach for the moment someone asks what actually changed.
That gap has a real cost. In a study of more than 350 nonprofit executives, only 29% said they could effectively measure the outcomes of the dollars they invested, and just 18% said they give funders real-time access to results at all — most rely on annual reports, email updates, or in-person meetings that lag months behind the work itself. Sixty-nine percent said current measurement practice unfairly favors larger, better-resourced organizations — the ones with staff time to spare for manual compiling. Meanwhile, funders are moving toward trust-based relationships and less restrictive grants, decisions increasingly shaped by data they can see directly rather than a narrative assembled after the fact.
If your next board meeting, grant renewal, or funder conversation is close enough that you're already thinking about how you'll answer "what did this funding change," this is the window to fix how that data reaches the people asking — not the week before the meeting, when you're back to pulling it together by hand.
This session is for executive directors, development and grants staff, and program teams at Boys & Girls Clubs who want their existing outcomes data to actually reach the board, funders, and budget conversations that depend on it — including anyone on your team who owns board reporting, grant renewals, or donor relationships, since they're the ones who feel this gap first. Can't make it live? Register anyway and we'll send you the full recording. Want to talk through your specific reporting process first? Reach out and we'll set up time to walk through it directly.
Your club already knows what changed. It's time your funders and board can see it too.
